Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American producer and actress best well-known for her performances in the shows she played on Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film who is a producer. The path to acting started with the theatre. She then appeared in several television shows, independent films and mainstream film. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and prizes, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Stage credits consist of Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production written by Joe Turner. In her film career, she is most well-known for her appearances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her role on television in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
